Yield of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz), a staple root crop that feeds nearly a billion people worldwide, is impacted by cassava mosaic begomoviruses (CMG, Family Geminiviridae: Genus Begomovirus) infection. We sequenced resistant and susceptible cultivars of Cassava to elucidate the potential genetic cause of a known resistance.
